Two Indian pairs are in the women’s doubles semi-finals. Indian table tennis players confirmed at least three medals following Thursday’s results. On an eventful day for Indian table tennis players at the  WTT Contender Muscat 2022 on Thursday, Manika Batra progressed to the women’s singles quarter-finals while Archana Kamath and Manav Thakkar made the mixed doubles final. Manika Batra upset Romania’s Bernadette Szocs, the world No. 23, 3-0 (11-3, 13-11, 11-8) in the round of 16 of women’s singles. The Indian will face China’s Kuai Man next. The Indian table tennis player also made it to the mixed doubles quarter-finals with G Sathiyan. India’s Manika Batra moved onto the women’s singles round of 16 of the WTT Contender Muscat 2022 with a win over Singapore’s Lin Ye at the Sultan Qaboos Sport Complex in Oman on Wednesday. Manika Batra beat Ye 3-0 (12-10, 11-8, 11-8) in the round of 32 and will face Romania’s Bernadette Szocs, a former European Championships silver medallist, in the last sixteen. With an eye on the Paris 2024 Olympics, Indian table tennis player Sathiyan Gnanasekaran has signed for top-tier French Pro A league club Jura Morez Tennis de Table for the 2022-23 season. The French Pro A league is one of the top-rated table tennis leagues in Europe.
